Hello 5th Grade Families,

What a year it has been! While our 5th grade year did no go as expected, we hope this final week is memorable.

PTSA SPONSORED SERVICE PROJECT UPDATE

Thank you to all the 5th graders that participated in the 5th-grade service project. You can now see your notes displayed at the Klahanie, Pinelake, and Issaquah QFC. QFC store managers and staff loved receiving your notes.

SCHOOL SUPPLY PICK UP

See June 10th Cascade Ridge ENews for more details. If you’d like to write your teacher a card or give her a gift. The school pick up time is the recommended time to drop off cards or gifts to your teacher.

PTSA SPONSORED END OF YEAR CAST-OFF ACTIVITY

Treat Trail - Walk, Bike, Scooter or Drive-up pick up on June 19th- 2:30pm-4pm

While we cannot gather for a 5th-grade party, we still wanted to do something fun for the 5th graders. There will be 8 outside treat stations in the Trossachs neighborhood. Kids can walk, bike, scooter or drive with their parents to pick up a treat. All kids will need to start at station 1 to pick up a bag and a map. Kids can also bring their own bag or backpack.

Station 1 will be open from 2:30pm-3pm, if you miss this window, the items will be at station 2 starting at 3pm. This is not a drop off event. Parents are responsible for their child and encouraged to chaperone their child to each station or discuss appropriate expectations in advance. Kids are encouraged to pick up their treats and move to the next station. Please follow the social distancing guidelines outlined by the Governor. Stay safe and have fun! Further details will be sent out on Thurs June 18th.

DRIVE THROUGH CEREMONY

The drive through cast-off ceremony will be on June 19th from 1pm-2:30pm. Families will drive through the Cascade Ridge parking lot to receive their certificate and class photo. Feel free to dress up as there will be a photo taken of your teacher handing you the envelope through the window as students remain in the car. All photos will be posted to padlet.

PTSA SPONSORED PHOTO BACKDROP

After families drive through the ceremony pick up line, you are welcome to stop by the bus loop to take a photo of your child with your own camera. There will be a photo backdrop set until 5 pm. Please follow social distancing guidelines.

END OF YEAR ALL SCHOOL CELEBRATION

Families are invited to drive through Cascade Ridge parking lot on the morning of June 23rd. The 5th grade drive through time is from 10:40 am-11 am.

Many of the staff members will be on hand to wave goodbye. The school asks that all families stay in cars and safely drive through.

Feel free to decorate your cars, bring signs, and make some noise as you drive through. For those who purchase yard signs, those are great to use as well.

We look forward to making this an exciting and memorable time for our Fifth-graders!
